Physiotherapists are primary healthcare providers who can diagnose your condition. However, some insurance companies may require a physician’s referral for expense reimbursement. Check your extended health benefits for details.


Yes, you can. Patients have the right to choose where and which physiotherapist they would like to see.

In addition to appropriate treatment, it is important to establish a good rapport and feel comfortable with your physiotherapist for a successful recovery.


No, I do not directly bill your insurance company. Instead, after your appointment, you will receive a receipt containing all the relevant details required to claim reimbursement from your insurance company.


Before your visit, please complete the Patient Intake Form that is attached to your email confirmation booking.   

Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy movement and accessibility to the the area being examined.

Physio With Lisa is located at 2 Willingdon Blvd, at the northwest corner of Bloor and Willingdon Blvd.

The clinic is on the 2nd floor, located inside Coloured Soul Yoga & Wellness studio.
Please note the clinic is accessible by stairs only.

There are 2 Green P parking lots located behind the building on Willingdon Blvd.


Royal York subway station is located nearby, just under a 5 minute walk. Take the Royal York Rd. exit, head south to Bloor St. and walk east, then turn left onto Willingdon Blvd.




Pelvic health physiotherapy can help with bladder leaks, urgency and frequency, pelvic pain, pain with intimacy, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, core weakness, prolapse symptoms, constipation, and low back or hip pain related to the pelvic floor.

If your insurance covers physiotherapy, you are covered pelvic health physiotherapy. Contact your insurance company to determine if a physician referral is needed for reimbursement and to learn about your benefits.



Although the muscles of the pelvic floor can be best assessed internally due to their anatomical location, it is always your choice. Your comfort and consent are the priority at every step.

If you prefer not to have an internal assessment, we can use external approaches instead, including a thorough biomechanical assessment of your body, and create a treatment plan that supports your goals.


Yes, you can still come to your pelvic physiotherapy appointment.

If you are not comfortable having an internal assessment or treatment done during this time, there are other tests and forms of treatment that we can do instead at your session. 



No. Pelvic health physiotherapy is very different from a medical exam. You’ll be lying comfortably on a soft treatment table, with sheets for privacy, in a calm and quiet setting. There are no stirrups or hospital-style equipment—your comfort, dignity, and sense of safety are always a priority.
